CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (February 21, 2018) – Timothy Heath has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing at Hospice of Chattanooga, the region’s largest hospice organization.

Heath’s 18-year background in the health care industry includes hospice and nursing home administration and health care consulting. Prior to his appointment at Hospice of Chattanooga, he served in several executive roles at Atlanta-area hospice organizations.

“My goal is to help Chattanooga area medical providers, patients and their families better understand how hospice works, and how hospice care can be secured much sooner than most people think. Patients and their loved ones who are facing end-of-life decisions can receive the full benefit of hospice care months earlier than is often supposed. Hospice care is also available to the chronically ill who are not facing a terminal diagnosis and children with life-limiting illnesses. These important services are accessible and affordable long before a person has given up on life, and I want to equip Hospice of Chattanooga’s dedicated team of volunteer caregivers to share this incredible story across our region,” Heath said.

“We are so pleased to have Tim join the Hospice of Chattanooga executive team. As an administrator, Tim combines business savvy with a heart of compassion. He is a good fit with Hospice of Chattanooga’s dual goal of providing the best possible care to every patient, while also ensuring their families receive the emotional and spiritual support they need. I look forward to seeing how that combination makes Hospice of Chattanooga an even better place to give and receive compassionate care,” said Tracy Wood, executive director.

Heath, who resides in Chattanooga, holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s in counseling psychology from East Tennessee State University.
